Monday mornings can be challenging for sales teams, but they can also be an opportunity to motivate, inspire, and align your sellers. Here are some tips to make your meetings more effective and engaging:
Define your goals and agenda. Be clear about what you want to achieve and communicate it to your team beforehand.
Ask for feedback. Find out what your sellers want to see in the meetings and how they can contribute.
Celebrate the wins. Recognize and appreciate the achievements of each member on your team and share best practices.
Encourage participation. Make sure everyone has a chance to speak and share their insights and challenges.
Raise awareness. When discussing a topic, provide context and background information to help your team understand the issue.
Trust your team. Ask for their ideas and suggestions and listen to their perspectives. They may have valuable solutions and actions. These can even be like yours but it’s much better if they come from the reps.
Manage the time. Keep track of the time and avoid letting anyone dominate the meeting. Stick to the agenda and prioritize the most important topics.
Ask for ratings. At the end of the meeting, ask your team to rate the value of the meeting or their takeaways on a scale of 1 to 10 (and give them permission to say “nothing”). This will help you measure the impact of your meetings and improve them over time.
